Zaha: players get up and dance to my playlists

Crystal Palace flyer Wilfried Zaha has revealed how he divides the squad – with his music.
Zaha has been in charge of the music in the Palace dressing room since rejoining the club from Manchester United in 2014. But the winger admits that not everyone listens to his hip-hop heavy pre-match playlists.
But Zaha says he’s quite happy with different reactions from the squad, because everyone has their own way of getting psyched up for games.
“Well, half of the team does listen to the music,” said Zaha in an exclusive video for Dressing Room DJ. “The youngsters obviously do. But people have their own ways of preparing for games, so some people are just zoned out. Some even have no headphones and they’re just doing their own thing.”
Zaha, who recently made his debut for the Ivory Coast at the African Cup Of Nations, has previously told Dressing Room DJ how Future has become a recent staple in the Selhurst Park dressing room. He explained that his most unusual selection was playing Johnny Cash’s ballad Hurt.
Going on to reveal which players are particularly hyped by his playlists, Zaha revealed: “Some people do have headphones in and some – for example Bakary Sako, Pape Souare, Christian Benteke – like the music that I play and will probably dance to it whilst we’re getting changed. People react differently to it.”
