Revealed: Zaha’s songs to fire Palace while he’s in Africa

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has left behind a brand new playlist to inspire his team-mates while he is away playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.

As the newest member of the Ivory Coast squad, Zaha is in Gabon. He’s concentrating on his country’s first fixture on Monday against Togo – whose squad includes Zaha’s former Palace team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor.

But as Crystal Palace Dressing Room DJ, in charge of the Selhurst Park playlist before games, Zaha is keen not to leave his team-mate in the lurch.

And now the hip-hop head has exclusively revealed to Dressing Room DJ the 14 songs he currently plays on the Palace stereo.

They include recent bangers by Rae Sremmurd and Migos, as well as familiar classics from Fetty Wap and Future.

Explaining how he chooses his pre-match playlist, Zaha told us: “The secret to being a good DJ is someone that caters to all, really.”

He added that he tries to keep all the squad happy with his tunes, saying: “It’s someone that doesn’t mind putting a bit of rock & roll or house in there. It’s not always the songs you like, you’re playing for everyone.”

That’s reflected in Zaha’s playlist, which includes R&B producer DJ Khaled’s anthem I Got The Keys among more familiar hip-hop names like former NFL player-turned-rapper Rico Richie.

Zaha certainly loves Young Thug associate Lil Uzi Vert, who has two songs featured on his Spotify selection.
