Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed that the biggest character in the England dressing room is Joe Hart.
So as the national side’s dressing room DJ, the England and Arsenal midfielder soon realised that the way to keep the job was to make sure Hart liked the music he was playing.
“The England DJ is the toughest role I’ve ever come up against,” revealed the Ox in an exclusive video for Dressing Room DJ.
“You know the boys but you’re not with them day in, day out, so you don’t really know if you’re listening to the same stuff that they’re listening to.”
And he said that players from the big clubs have a powerful influence on the team dynamic.
“Obviously you get the group of the Spurs lads, the Liverpool boys, you get the Man U boys, sitting near each other. You never know, they could be behind your back saying: ‘Puh, what’s Chambo putting on here, lads?'”
And that’s where the Joe Hart factor came in.
“I worked out quite early that you keep Joe Hart happy in the England dressing room with the music, then you’re good to go because he’s such a big character – if he’s happy, everyone’s got to be happy.
“So that’s what I focussed on. I kept Harty happy and I’ve had the job for a while.”
