Ox: no rappers on team bus to please Wenger

Arsenal dressing room DJ Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain knows when the music has to stop – when the players are on the team coach.
Manager Arsène Wenger may put up with grime and rap blaring out in the dressing room to gee his players up before a game, but the refined Frenchman won’t stand it on a long coach trip to away games or even a short hop from the team hotel.
So it’s headphones only when the team is on the road, revealed Oxlade-Chamberlain in an exclusive video for Footballers Lives.
“It’s generally purely for the dressing room because Arsène, the manager, doesn’t really like listening to Stormzy on the bus on the way to the game, ” he said.
“He puts up with it in the dressing room – Future and Drake and Rick Ross – he walks around the dressing room listening to all these tunes but I’m sure on the way to the game he wouldn’t appreciate that so it’s purely just dressing room.”
