James Haskell shared a hilarious car journey with girlfriend Chloe Madeley in which he revealed that, if he was a girl for a day and had to have sex with a rugby player, he would pick England pal Danny Care.
He also suggested the Bumble Bees would be a less scary name than Wasps for his club side.
The Grand Slam winner was quizzed by TV celeb Chloe, which he filmed in an exclusive video for Rugby Lives.
Asked if he liked the name Wasps, the flanker at first replied: “Yes.”
But he then reflected: “Nobody actually likes wasps, everyone has to get up from their picnic and run away. People run away from wasps and that is one downside. What would I like the team to be called? The Bumble Bees?”
And he recalled how jockey Frankie Dettori once insisted in conversation that Bumble Bees really was his club’s name.
Haskell and Chloe, who were driving to Wasps’ training base in Acton, west London, then went on to talk about the flanker’s favourite players.
Ed Shervington would be a good pal to go on holiday with except the hooker was “always naked”, said Haskell.
Chloe rounded off the chat by asking: “If you were a girl for the day and you had to have sex with one rugby player, who would you choose?”
Bemused, Haskell took a minute to reply and – after rejecting another England team-mate, Courtney Lawes – said: “So many ways of answering that. I’m going to go with Danny Care, I think.”
