Bolasie: I annoy my wife with grime

Yannick Bolasie’s wife Kelsey can’t stand his music at home, but the Everton midfielder has got his kids into grime.
The DR Congo international admitted that he blares out tunes first thing in the morning, much to the annoyance of his wife.
“It gets on her nerves,” he said in an exclusive interview with Footballers Lives. “Because I’m a person that gets up early and straight away – boom.
“I might put on grime, but grime for her sounds like a racket. It’s not the sort of music that sounds nice. You can imagine, she’s annoyed.
“But for me, it gives me a buzz. I wake up smiling and go to the training ground energised.”
The former Crystal Palace man has revealed to us though that his two children have just started getting into his music – especially grime.
“My kids – a boy and a girl, one of them is two the other is three – they also listen to music with me. I guess it gives them a buzz as well.
“They watch me and my friends do MC battles so they’re pretty much moulded into grime.
“When they hear grime they know the type of movements you have to make. You literally just have to bop your head, and they can do it as well – but to the beat.”
